About Us

Prosper High School Hockey Association

The Prosper High School Hockey Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing today’s high school hockey players through athletic achievement, academic excellence, leadership, and character development.

Our mission is to provide student athletes in the Prosper and Celina communities with the opportunity to compete in organized high school hockey while building lifelong skills both on and off the ice.

Our Purpose

Community

Provide local high school student athletes the opportunity to play organized hockey while proudly representing their schools, teammates, and community.

Player Development

Develop and improve the skills, knowledge, and abilities of participating athletes through quality coaching, instruction, and competitive experiences. We are committed to supporting programs that educate and train players, coaches, parents, volunteers, and board members.

Leadership & Social Growth

Create a healthy, positive, and constructive environment where student athletes can grow socially and emotionally. Prosper Hockey strives to instill the values of teamwork, accountability, loyalty, leadership, sacrifice, initiative, sportsmanship, dependability, and hard work.

Academic Excellence

Encourage success in the classroom while providing guidance and opportunities for scholarship recognition to deserving student athletes pursuing education beyond high school.

Opportunities Beyond High School

Provide opportunities for players to participate in showcases, events, and competitive experiences that help them continue playing hockey after high school at higher levels.

Growth of the Game

Promote and grow the sport of hockey throughout the Prosper and Celina communities while building partnerships and local sponsorships that support our athletes and organization.

Volunteers & Coaches

Recruit and support coaches and volunteers who serve as strong role models and positive influences for our student athletes.

Communication & Family Engagement

Maintain strong communication with players and families through meetings, email communication, websites, social media, and team management platforms.

Our Goal

Our ultimate goal is to create an unrivaled high school hockey experience for student athletes and families throughout the Prosper and Celina school districts — one that builds community pride, develops character, creates lasting friendships, and inspires excellence both on and off the ice.

History

Prosper Eagles Ice Hockey Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with JV and Varsity teams that participate in the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League. The program in its current form has been active since the 2014-2015 season within the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League. The Eagles were originally composed of players from Celina ISD and Prosper ISD. However, in 2024 Celina formed their own team and since then Prosper has been a stand alone team.

The team has changed logos through the years, originally our jerseys featured the P-eagle and our colors were green and black. When Rock Hill High School opened in 2020 we added blue to our P and dropped the "Eagles" in order to evolve with the growing district. As Prosper continued to grow and opened Walnut Grove High School, and with Richland High School on the horizon, we felt the need to evolve to a more permanent brand. In 2024 a new logo was designed featuring the downtown Prosper Silos skyline and our green and blue was cemented within that shield we all know and love today.
